Hamilton Nolan is the labor reporter for In These Times magazine, a regular columnist for Columbia Journalism Review and The Guardian, and has written for The New York Times, the Washington Post, Gawker, Splinter, and other publications. He was the longest-serving writer in Gawker’s history, and was a leader in unionizing Gawker Media in 2015. Hamilton spoke about his work unionizing the media industry at the White House’s 2015 “Worker Voice Summit”; on stage at the 2017 AFL-CIO convention; and at the 2018 Writers Guild of America awards, where he received the Richard Jablow Award for service to the union.
