Clayton Szczech
Clayton Szczech is the founder of Experience Agave, the first boutique brand dedicated to promoting the history and tradition of agave spirits—tequila, mezcal and raicilla—through immersive, educational tour experiences. He was co-owner of the first tequila bar in the town of Tequila, is certified as an “Experto en Tequila,” and is the only non-Mexican national to receive the Tequila Regulatory Council’s prestigious “Double-T” award. Szczech has studied with master tasters, botanists, chemists, anthropologists and distillers of tequila brands large and small and has been featured as a tequila and mezcal expert in stories by the Associated Press, Wall Street Journal, Sunset Magazine, Food and Wine, CNN, Public Radio International, Forbes, Virtuoso Life and The Los Angeles Times.
