Jason Turbow is the author of three non-fiction baseball books: “They Bled Blue: Fernandomania, Strike-Season Mayhem, and the Weirdest Championship Baseball Had Ever Seen: The 1981 Los Angeles Dodgers” (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2019), “Dynastic, Bombastic, Fantastic: Reggie, Rollie, Catfish, and Charlie Finley’s Swingin’ A’s (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2017), and “The Baseball Codes: Beanballs, Sign Stealing, and Bench-Clearing Brawls: The Unwritten Rules of America’s Pastime” (Pantheon, 2010). He has written regularly for the likes of The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, and The Wall Street Journal, and spent four years as content director for “Giants Today,” a full-page supplement about the San Francisco Giants in the San Francisco Chronicle.
